Embracing Change, Celebrating Achievements: Felins in 2023

As we bid farewell to 2023, it's always good to take pause and reflect. Whether as an individual or as a collective, reflecting on your year can give you a visual on where you sit with your goals. Did you fulfill the goals that you set for this year? What goals will you set for the next? Reflecting on what has happened, your growth and your progress is to also appreciate how far you’ve come. Life and work have natural ebbs and flows, ups and downs but the family that we’ve built remains constant along with the unyielding support of our community. Let's delve into the chapters that shaped the narrative of Felins in this transformative year.
Navigating New Horizons
Our journey in 2023 took a monumental turn with our move to a cutting-edge facility. Beyond being a change of location, this shift represented the collective strength, resilience, and commitment of our team. Through collaborative efforts, over many years prior, we transformed challenges into opportunities, shaping a space that embodies the very essence of Felins. It was a big undertaking and we’re glad to not only have completed it but also look back on the project with pride. Sustainability Initiatives
Sustainability remained at the heart of our mission. Our packaging machinery continued to set industry benchmarks, offering efficient, eco-friendly solutions. In addition to revolutionizing packaging, we made significant strides in our eco-conscious initiatives. Thanks to our drinking water filtration system (which also makes sparkling water - fancy!), we saved over 6,760 water bottles this year! Our commitment to a paperless environment, initiated in 2020, resulted in saving 180,000 sheets of paper. Our banding machines, labeling systems, automatic sleevers, and tying equipment have also produced immeasurable sustainability savings for our clients.

Innovations Driving Operational Excellence
Innovation stood tall in our narrative. Our customizable machinery, from adhesive-free labeling to automated sleeving, drove operational efficiency for businesses across diverse industries. The success stories of our clients continue to be the driving force behind our commitment to innovation. One of our customers, SunFresh Produce, received the prestigious “Best of Organic Sustainable Packaging” award. Our client’s wins are our wins, it’s thrilling to know that our products can help other companies, which then helps consumers, and the planet. That’s innovation and sustainability at work!
In the spirit of innovation, our team also attended 5 conferences this year and served on four different industry committees. As most already know, these events are valuable ways our team can stay on top of industry trends, professionally grow, and expand our network. Through what we’ve learned and who we’ve partnered with, we’ve been able to come up with cutting-edge packaging solutions, labeling ideas and more. We attended five tradeshows, showcasing our solutions at four of them. Beyond the connections at conferences, we truly enjoy connecting with our community through our tradeshow booths. It allows the opportunity in getting to meet a wide range of people including small and large business owners of all levels, from marketers to production workers, service managers to even students. These events not only connected us with industry leaders but also provided a platform to share our innovations with the world.

A Year of Community and Growth
Our Felins family expanded in more ways than one. On a more personal note, our family welcomed not only new team members but also a bundle of joy and a furry friend. One new baby and one adorable puppy became integral parts of the Felins family, adding immeasurable joy and warmth. We also added five new faces to the team. Christian, Austin, Dave, Keiffer, and Dan started their careers with us this year and we are honored to have them. We appreciate all the hard work and refreshing outlook they’ve brought to our company.
Members of our team also took 2 separate trips to Europe to visit our supplier, ATS, and attend the Interpack trade show. Our visits are always memorable covering everything from educational tours to important discussions, testing customer systems to insightful meetings. It's always a valuable trip for our team!
What’s next for us in 2024?
We look forward to continued growth. 2024 already has a lot in store for us with 7 tradeshows, 6 that we plan to exhibit at! We're also hiring for a few positions, if you or anyone you know is looking please share our open positions.
As we look back with gratitude, our hearts are filled with appreciation for our partners and clients. Your trust fuels our journey, and we're excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
