The tradeshow grind never stops! Our first show of 2024 kicked off in Atlanta as our team landed in preparation for MODEX 2024, a show dedicated to the entire supply chain ecosystem with solutions in logistics, automation, robotics, warehousing and fulfillment technologies.
MHI’s website defines Material Handling and Logistics as: The movement, protection, storage and control of materials and products throughout the process of their manufacture and distribution, consumption and disposal. This process involves a broad array of equipment and systems that aid in forecasting, resource allocation, production planning, flow and process management, inventory management, customer delivery, after-sales support and service, and a host of other activities and processes basic to business.
You can imagine how much there is to see and solutions to explore in an ever-emerging sector such as this. The Felins packaging team co-exhibited with our partners ATS-Tanner and Wexler Packaging at booth C-3285. Trade shows can be overwhelming for attendees and we welcomed all booth visitors with Midwest hospitality and complimentary beverages.
Beyond the hospitality, our team spent a lot of 1-on-1 time with guests who were looking for automated systems or semi-automated systems to help them with their e-commerce fulfillment challenges. We offer free consultations with free sample testing and live product demonstrations. Visitors are encouraged to bring their product to our booth and our team will test them on our equipment so that you can see the process, take photos, record videos or take home a few material samples. Our booth was also in close proximity to the Puppy Petting area near the MODEX Backyard! The adorable pups provided us with non-stop entertainment and stress-relief for most of the day.
Gina Baldwin, Felins Packaging Expert in the E-Commerce industry, is an active member of MHI’s SLAM Industry Group & won the 2023 award for Technology & Standards Committee Member of the Year. She educates audiences on the intersection of sustainability, automation and the customer experience. She was part of an educational session hosted by the SLAM Industry Group titled, “Learn How to Introduce Sustainability into Your Fulfillment Operation While Reducing Costs and Increasing Productivity” on the first day of the show. The seminar discussed what key factors are impacting the market and how automating your packaging processes can help you scale your operations while meeting sustainability initiatives. If you’re interested in more sessions like this, follow Gina or Felins on LinkedIn where we will post future updates.
As is our tradition at most trade shows, the Felins team enjoyed dinner with our partners from ATS Switzerland and Wexler Packaging, who covers the east coat territory for banding in the US. The Italian food at Pricci is one of our favorite spots to frequent when in Atlanta for business. The food, cocktails, service and ambiance are always top notch. We appreciate that the menu has something for everyone, including any guests with dietary needs or preferences. The wine list is great too! We’re grateful for our time together over a family-style meal fostering camaraderie and strengthening our connections.
