In 2019, Collin joined Felins as a Service Engineer, where he developed technical troubleshooting skills and learned how to effectively communicate with customers at all levels.
Now, as Service Manager, Collin enjoys leading a talented team and tackling daily customer challenges. He values his role in helping others grow while continuing to expand his own leadership skills, supported by strong mentorship within Felins.
“I’m honored to be leading the service team,” says Collin, “Luckily, since we have such great talent, they make my job really easy. It’s very rewarding being able to still solve day to day customer challenges with my hands but also learn and grow my leadership skills. I’m grateful to have nothing but great leadership examples, mentors all around me at Felins to learn from each day.”
Collin emphasizes that the great company culture at Felins was an important aspect as well, and how it positively effects the work that he does. He was also driven by how important the packaging industry is in making the world a better place through use of sustainable technologies.
Outside of work, Collin enjoys spending time on the golf course, a hobby he picked up four years ago. “Golf has become one of my favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors, relax, and spend time with friends,” he shares. “Last spring, I took a trip with some friends to Florida for golf and played my best rounds yet and I’m excited to plan my next golf trip.”
He also loves traveling with his wife, they travel as much as they can finding ways to explore new areas — especially wineries. “My wife has led me to becoming an aspiring wine connoisseur. One of our favorite vacation spots is Nashville. It is also home to our favorite winery, Grinders Switch.”
Collin is also music enthusiast and enjoys listening to podcasts, when he’s feeling ambitious — he’ll break out the guitar and play along with some of his favorite artists. This curiosity for learning extends beyond his hobbies; he’s also currently exploring computer architecture, diving deep into understanding how computers operate at their core.
Collin’s technical expertise, leadership abilities, and commitment to continuous learning make him an essential part of the Felins team. His colleagues find his kind and helpful demeanor are always unwavering, even in the most critical situations.
