Felins Employee Recognized for Leadership and Commitment to Advancing Women in the Packaging Industry
Milwaukee, WI – November 25th, 2024 – Felins is proud to announce that Lisa Hurtz, a dedicated member of the Packaging & Processing Women’s Leadership Network (PPWLN) Council, will assume the role of Co-chair in 2025. Lisa has been an active council member for the past two years and has played a vital role in helping shape the network’s initiatives, which focus on the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women in the packaging and processing industries.
As Co-chair, Lisa will continue to advance the network’s mission of supporting women by creating opportunities for growth, leadership, and empowerment. She has been an advocate for PPWLN’s efforts to nurture a vibrant community, both online and offline, where members can connect, learn, and collaborate.
“I am truly honored to step into the Co-chair role in 2025,” said Lisa Hurtz. “As a woman in the industry, I’ve witnessed the incredible growth and development of this network, and I’m excited to continue finding creative ways to bring more women to these events. PPWLN provides valuable networking resources that help women not only form relationships but also gain relevant skills and inspiration from others in the industry.”
Lisa’s commitment to empowering women within the packaging sector is clear, as she emphasizes the importance of collaboration and innovation. “While women are still considered a minority in the industry, I firmly believe that should be seen as a career advantage,” she said. “With the right resources and tools, women can continue to grow within the world of packaging through collaboration and innovation as a united team of strong individuals.”
Throughout her tenure, Lisa has championed PPWLN’s initiatives, including leadership workshops, Learning Circle webinars, and live events at PACK EXPO shows. These programs have provided actionable insights and valuable connections to help members advance their careers.
PPWLN remains focused on supporting women in the packaging and processing industries and will continue to provide access to education, networking, and leadership opportunities under Lisa’s upcoming leadership as Co-chair.
“Lisa’s appointment as Co-chair is a testament to her remarkable leadership and the respect she has earned within our industry,” said Ben Vlieger, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Felins. “Her vision and commitment will undoubtedly inspire others and help shape a brighter future for women in packaging.”
